2024 Recap

This year flew by quickly. Most of my time was spent working on the art and animations for our game, Relic Abyss, and catching up on some backlog games. Of course, there were also adulting and family responsibilities here and there.

Relic Abyss

We made significant progress on Relic Abyss this year, and here’s a recap of what we accomplished:

📟 Officially revealed our Steam page in June.
🤝 Created a Pitch Deck in July and connected with potential publishers.
🎮 Completed a full Prototype in August.
🍉 Developed a Vertical Slice demo in December.
🤝 Showcased the demo to a 🇵🇭 x 🇦🇺 Games Exchange event.
🔫 Participated in Steam’s Bullet Heaven Fest and SEA GO.
🔥 Reached over 2,800 wishlists for the game so far.

Gaming

As with last year, here’s a list of the games I played and finished in 2024—all on the Nintendo Switch:

The Nintendo Switch, being a handheld console with a sleep/quick resume feature, is a clutch for someone like me with limited time and energy, but who still wants to play games. I rarely feel like playing on my PC after spending most of my workday on it. I’m really looking forward to the announcement and launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 (or whatever the successor will be called)

Life Sidequests

This year, I didn’t go on any major trips or use my camera much, as I decided to save up instead. I’m planning an international trip next year, though, hopefully!
Some personal highlights of this year included attending a Radwimps concert and visiting film festivals.

2025

For 2025, we plan to release a demo of Relic Abyss and hopefully attend some gaming conventions to showcase it.

As stated above, I also plan to take that long-desired, self-reward international trip If things go well, I will bring my camera along to capture lots of photos and videos.
